2013, May-July│Update 8 (Rise of The Warlords) “Raid” game type.
- The Void has been added: A new mission category/location to earn prime parts and blueprints as rewards. Players can access void missions using keys obtained as random rewards in various missions. Each key corresponds to one specific type and difficulty of a mission, and every mission has a unique loot table.
- Clans have been added: They still need to get all their full functionality, but the dojo and clan tech/research is functional to a reduced degree.
- Forma added: Players can use these to add or change polarities on gear, allowing them to equip more expensive mods.
- Stalker added: An assassin who hunts Tenno through various means
2013, July-Sept│Update 9 (Vor's Revenge)
- First Alert System is implemented
- Artifacts changed into Auras, giving additional mod points to Warframe load-outs but otherwise keeping their functions, letting the whole team reap the benefits.
- Nightmare Mode added: Enemies are more powerful, and players are afflicted with one or two randomly-chosen negative mechanics.
2013, Sept-Nov│Update 10 (Shadows of The Dead)
- Orokin Derelict added: Access is granted by keys crafted from reusable blueprints.
- Survival game mode added: Replacing the
- Syandanas added: The first cosmetic accessory type to be introduced into Warframe.
- Changes to enemies and lore to give Grineer a proper spoken language.
- Vaults added: Each vault drops a Corrupted Mod. This new mod type significantly increases one stat while decreasing a different stat.
2013, Nov-Jan│Update 11 (Valkyr Unleashed)
- Damage 2.0 introduced: Adds combination elements and changes how each element functions. Every entity in the game is composed of certain parts and materials with varying strengths and weaknesses.
- Trading capability added to dojos.
- Codex added: Players can scan enemies and objects to learn about them using Codex Scanners in-game.
- Invasions introduced: Tenno can side with the Grineer, Corpus, or infested to fight for various rewards.
- Harvester/Zanuka-Hunter have been added: Assassins functioning similarly to the stalker, who will go after the player if they help the Grineer too often during invasions.

2014, Feb-Mar│Update 12 (Zephyr Rises)
- Interception game mode added: A capture/domination style game type
- The in-game HUD is entirely redesigned.
- All prime blueprints can now be traded between players.
- The G3 are added: The Grineer counterpart to Harvester/Zanuka-Hunter. Similarly, they will attempt to take out players who often help the Corpus during invasions.
\2014, April-July│Update 13 (Dark Sectors)
- Melee 2.0: Stance mods function like Auras for weapons, granting additional points while accessing unique combos. Charge attacks have been replaced with Channeling.
- The ability to unequip weapons is added: Players can now take less gear into missions, potentially allowing other weapons to receive more Affinity.
- Dark Sectors added: Beefed-up farming spots controlled by a clan or an alliance. Initially created with a voting system, clans can offer battle pay, allowing players to run missions for one side—determining who took hold of the sector.
- Hive Sabotage missions added: Infested missions that throw additional environmental hazards at the team as they progress.
- Endless Void missions changed to stop players from abusing the system. Once the first reward has been offered (minute 5, wave 5, etc.), the key is consumed. This change prevents players from aborting if they don't get the desired reward on a particular wave.
- Arcane/stat helmets are Deprecated. Only existing helmets (and blueprints for those) have stats.
2014, July-Oct│Update 14 (The Mad Cephalon)
- The standard UI and menus are redone entirely. The player’s base of operations is now a ship, complete with an AI. Players have access to various menus by interacting with parts of the ship.
- Quest system introduced
- The new player tutorial is revamped entirely in the form of a questline.
- Changes are made to the grouping system: Parties are no longer broken up after using a key.
- Kubrows added: You can take these space dogs into missions using the Sentinel equipment slot. Four breeds, each of them hatching from Eggs.
- Dark Sector conflicts changed to actual PVP with Specters to fill in any missing gaps.
- Tactical Alerts added: A cross between an event and an alert; these have a cumulative score that earns you a prize. They last a few days but have less lore/story than full-blown events.
- Excavation game mode added.
- Custom Colors Changed to fix some long-standing issues with alpha and saturation. Players can now toggle a "legacy colors" option under settings.
2014, Oct-Nov│Update 15 (Archwing)
- Archwing game mode added: Along with four Archwings and several Arch-Guns
- Syndicates added: Spend standing on ranking them up and purchasing unique rewards.
- Void Sabotage game type added in the form of tower keys.
- Defense and Interception rewards now stack. Meaning, that groups are no longer split by one member choosing a different reward.
- Warframe Ability Mod Changes: Ability mods no longer exist. Every frame has all its abilities internally, unlocked.
- Relays have been added and are accessible by all players. The syndicate leaders operate from here—allowing players to turn in Medallions and purchase a syndicate’s respective offerings.
- The Void Trader will now buy spare prime parts and blueprints, giving Orokin Ducats in exchange. Ducats may be used to buy a rotating set of items the Void Trader sells.
- Spy 2.0 is introduced: These missions no longer involve data masses. Instead, the levels contain vaults that must be snuck into. Players must then hack the consoles within to complete the mission.
- Stealth kill Affinity bonus added: Killing an enemy under stealth grants players a large amount of bonus Affinity. More stealth kills will increase this multiplier.

2015, March│Update 16 (Sanctuary)
- Frames and weapons used are limited to a specific subset to avoid AOE spam, and mods have been modified similarly.
- Weapons have Conclave-specific changes to balance a small set of weapons against each other.
- A Conclave syndicate has been added with unique rewards.
- Synthesis scanning added. Progress, info, and tools are available in the Sanctuary.
- Lore entries unlock as the community completes synthesis scan progress.
- The Simulacrum was added, where you can fight virtual copies of enemies that you have complete codex entries of.
- A place to practice mastery rank tests
- Expansion of the modding interface, displaying weapon volume and frame attribute percentages.
- An /unstuck command is added: Typing it into the in-game chat will respawn you safely on solid ground.
- Players (and their waypoints) are now numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4.
- Rare Resource Blueprints have been added: This allows players to use common and uncommon resources to build rare ones.
2015, July│Update 17 (Echoes of the Sentient)
- Movement 2.0 (Parkour 2.0) update: Double jumping, wall latching, wall jumping, gliding, and bullet jumping change how players move through missions.
- Stamina was removed as a concept entirely in light of the Parkour 2.0 revamp.
- Existing mods involving stamina are directly converted to Fusion Cores (Now known as Endo). Existing pieces of equipment that alter stamina are given alternate effects.
- Exilus Mod Slot added to frames: A slot exclusively for Exilus Mods.
- Incubator Upgrade Segment added: An available upgrade to make Kubrows less expensive to maintain.
- Archwing missions have received more attention, such as afterburners, loot crates, and additional mission types.
- Landing craft customization and support added.
- Toggle abilities now have energy drain affected by efficiency.
- Miscellaneous UI improvements have been made: Naming mods tagged on waypoint, seeing frame abilities with modded stats in the arsenal, and more.
2015, Dec.│Update 18 (The Second Dream)
- Natah quest has been introduced.
- The Second Dream quest is added: Unlockable only after completing Natah.
- Lua destination added: A unique tileset to complement the new quests
- Focus system added: Granting a fifth ability and many possible passive effects.
- Daily Tribute system included: A revamped version of the previous login reward system.
- Sorties added: Three daily missions that can be accessed in tandem. These missions have randomly generated restrictions or enemy buffs (like tactical alerts) and are high-level. Completing all three gives you a specific randomized reward from the pool.
- Mod capacity on a weapon is always the same as your mastery rank. For example, if you're MR 8 and build a new weapon, it will have eight mod points.
- Sniper rifles are updated with multiple zoom levels and kill combos with stacking bonuses.
- Reactor Sabotage missions added.
- Chat update: emotes, entered message history, and more.
- Warframes are all granted a Passive Ability.

2016 June│Update 19 (The Path)
- Lunaro added: A new Conclave mode! Space ninja soccer/football with a dash of PvP.
- The star chart has received a rework. Missions and rewards have been shuffled around, and many quests are set as rewards for completing junctions. Junctions control access across various locations.
- The Void system rework: Void fissures show up at random. Taking relics (previously known as keys) into these missions allows you to crack them open for a reward.
- Kavats added: Two breeds with unique abilities!
- Fusion System updated: Instead of fusion cores, mods use Endo as a fusion currency. As a result, fusion is now more precise and faster.
- You can now find Ayatan sculptures and stars in missions. These can be extracted as-is for a little Endo or combined to extract more.Sentinel | WARFRAME Wiki
- Vacuum is made universal via a mod for Sentinels.
- The War Within quest is added: A direct follow-up to The Second Dream, allowing players to unlock even more abilities.
- Riven Mods added: Mods with randomized bonuses and effects can be rerolled for an ever-increasing resource cost.

2017, Mar.│Update 20 (Octavia's Anthem)
- Captura mode added: Photo/scene composition tool for taking screenshots.
- Additional stats on weapons are viewable in the arsenal, along with clarifications of existing stats (like Riven disposition).
- Chat filters added: Both whitelist and blacklisting phrases. Now players can reduce chat to only the messages they want to see (specific buy/sell offers, perhaps) or simply remove messages with particular phrases.
- UI changes for 4K support, menu scaling, and more in the settings
- Various engine changes to improve memory efficiency and increase game performance
- Expansive Aura and Warframe rebalances.
- Various text improvements across the UI and mod descriptions to fix inconsistencies and present more accurate information.
2017, June│Update 21 (Chains of Harrow)
- Thrown melee weapons (like Glaives) can now be wielded simultaneously as single pistol sidearms.
- Defection mission type added, help evacuate groups of refugees.
- Melee Riven mods are introduced.
- The Simulacrum now allows multiplayer. Invite your friends!
- Exterminate missions scale enemy difficulty as they continue, spawning Eximus Units partway.
- Tutorials are updated with more information on reloading, accepting daily tributes, and more!
- Warframe added: Harrow
- Chains of Harrow quest added as a pivotal step in Warframes overarching story.
2017, Oct.│Update 22 (Plains of Eidolon)
- Plains of Eidolon added: New resources, Mining, Fishing, random incursion missions, a day/night cycle with mechanical changes, and more are available on the plains.
- Eidolon hunting added: Large roaming monsters forcing players to use unique tactics to defeat them and claim their Arcanes.
- Cetus added: a town where Tenno can take Bounties, build a reputation, and spend said reputation on various tools and goods.
- Set Mods added: Equipping multiple mods in a set will grant a bonus that increases the more you have installed.
- Focus upgraded to 2.0: Featuring passive unlocks from each school, usable in other schools. Most of the bonuses focus on making the Operator more capable in combat.
- A combo system is added for Snipers.
- A Weather system is added to the Plains of Eidolon, with reduced enemy visibility during rain.
- Captura upgraded with advanced camera controls, adding 3D text and more.
- Dojo editing overhauled: Capacity increased, new controls with free-cam mode for moving objects around, the ability for clan members to contribute their ship decorations to the dojo, lighting controls for individual rooms, and more
- Sanctuary Onslaught added: an endless mission type with unique leaderboards and mechanics.

2018, June│Update 23 (The Sacrifice)
- Exalted weapons added: Excalibur's Exalted Blade, Ivara's Artemis Bow, and more are now modded separately from other weapons.
- UI overhaul begins: various screens are updated with a new UI.
- Selectable theme options are now available.
- Better controller support is added, with the ability to navigate more menus and shortcuts.
- The Sacrifice Quest is added and made replayable
- Chimera Prologue is introduced
- Incubator cores are added to make the Howl of The Kubrow quest easier.
- IPv6 support to chat settings
- Mandachord songs can now be accessed from the Somachord

2020, Mar.│Update 27.2.0 (Warframe Revised)
- Slash Status now does not bypass Shields and instead deals damage over time to Shields. Slash Status still ignores Armor.
- Toxin Damage used to apply to Armor with a 25% bonus, and now it is neutral. Toxin bypasses Shields (but not Armor) for role distinction, whereas Slash Status bypasses Armor but not Shields.
- Player Shields now reduces 25% of incoming damage.
- Shield recharge delays are now based on depleted or partially depleted shields. Partially depleted shields (any amount) are a 1-second recharge delay, and complete depletion is a 4-second recharge delay.
- Infested do more melee damage across the board
- Shield Gating added for players
- Enemies also have received some light Shield Gating
- Increasing the maximum Rank of Warframe and Operator Arcanes to 5, up from 3. Arcane Revives are now a bonus that begins on Rank 3.
- Self Damage is gone. Stagger has been added in its place.
- Excavation Health/Shield Scaling Changes: Shields now scale to the level
- Broad Warframe Armor Change: Armor increased across the board

Eximus Rework
- An additional health pool eximus units possess. It must be removed before players can take down their Health/Shields, and offers various immunities while active.
- While active, Eximus units are immune to crowd control abilities or anything that will stagger, knockdown, stun, mind control, ragdoll, and blind.
- Overguard is particularly susceptible to Void damage.
- Overguard is independent of Health/Shield scaling and is indicated with a bar overtop of their existing Health/Shields.

- Health, Shields, and Armor for Eximus scale faster at higher levels until it eventually flattens.
- Eximus now stand out more, each having a unique identifier.

- Guardian Eximus now significantly reduces damage to its allies, which is indicated by a collection of smaller shields circling around them. The Guardian Eximus units have 3 rotating shields that fully block incoming damage on themselves and also create a similar visual effect on nearby allies.
- Leech Eximus now spawn Health Leech Zones, which tick away at your Health shortly after spawning, healing nearby enemies.
- Shock Eximus/Bio-Electric Eximus spawn electrical orbs that hover in place for a few seconds, dealing increasing electrical damage around the Eximus before homing in on the player.
- When alerted, venomous Eximus units become surrounded by a swirling volume of Toxic gas.

Madurai
- Void Fuel: 40% Weapon Efficiency for Operator and Warframe while Void Strike is active.
- Power Transfer: 100% Amp Critical Damage on switching to Operator. 50% Casting Speed on switching to Warframe.
- Chained Sling: 50% Energy Efficiency on Consecutive Void Slings.
- Sling Strength: Switching to Warframe after a Chained Sling adds 40% Ability Strength
- Contamination Wave: Second Ability emits a Void wave lasting 2s that drenches enemies with Void Contamination making them 50% more vulnerable to Operator Damage for 20s.
- Distilled Contamination: Killing an enemy affected by Contamination Wave makes all affected enemies 25% more vulnerable while also making the effect last longer
- Reworked Void Strike: It is now the First Ability input. It consumes all Operator energy to increase damage for 8s. Deal 10% additional damage for every percentage of Operator energy consumed.
- Tweaked Phoenix Talons: Physical Damage and Operator Damage increased by 30%.
Unairu
- Last Gasp (Passive, Way-Bound): Revive your Warframe by Transferring to Operator and killing enemies to gain a second wind.
- Vengence: During Last Gasp, Operator Damage is increased by 100% plus an additional 25% per second.
- Poise: Gain immunity to slow, stagger, and knockdown effects for 40s after Transferring between Operator or Warframe.
- Magnetic Flair: Use First Ability to create a field that disables the shields of any enemy that enters it.
- Caustic Strike: Second Ability launches a bomb that explodes, stripping 100% of enemy armor. Tap Second Ability again to detonate in-flight.
- Magnetic Boost: Void Sling out of a Magnetic Flare to refresh its duration and increase its radius.
- Reinforced Return: Warframe is invulnerable for 4s after the Operator is downed. Tap X as Operator falls to bring the Warframe to the Operator’s location.
- Static Purge: 100% chance to clear Transference Static on kill while Reinforced Return is active.
- Reworked Unairu Wisp: 100% chance to summon a wisp for each enemy hit by Sundering Dissipation, seeking out the nearest ally within Affinity Range and increasing Operator damage for 20 secs.
- Tweaked Stone Skin: Increases Armor for Warframe and Operator by 200.
Zenurik
- Temporal Drag: Emits a radial burst slowing any enemy it touches
- Temporal Shot: Precision headshot damage increased 100% on enemies afflicted with Temporal Drag.
- Disarming Sling: Slinging through enemies has a chance to disarm them.
- No Quarter: Killing a disarmed enemy increases Operator energy regen rate
- Inner Might (Passive): Allows Abilities to be cast without using Energy or Shields. 60-second cooldown
- Hardened Wellspring: Tap First Ability inside a Wellspring to increase its size, boost its duration, and grant 20% Ability Strength to any inside.
Naramon
- Opening Slam: Performing a Slam as Operator switches to Warframe and grants double Combo gain for 20s.
- Amp Spike: Transfer to Operator with 8x Combo Multiplier to increase Amp Damage.
- Void Levitation: Creates a wide shockwave lasting that inflicts Lift Status on all enemies
- Lethal Levitation: Additional 50% Damage per Lifted enemy attacked by Operator.
- Sling Stun: Increases the width of the next Void Sling, and enemies hit are vulnerable to Finishers, taking more damage.
- Killer’s Rush: Initiating a finisher as Operator switches to Warframe, increasing melee critical chance for a time.
- Far Sling (Passive): Increases maximum Void Sling distance.
- Slight increase in Melee Affinity gained from Affinity Spike.
Vazarin
- Squad Regen: When Void Regen reaches its maximum, it is applied to Operators within the Affinity Range for 40s.
- Void Regen: Void Mode starts healing at +10 Health per second, increasing by 10 per second to a maximum of 50.
- Void Snare: Launches a projectile that spins up a vortex trap on impact, or tap Second Ability again to detonate in-flight. The trap lasts 8s. Void Sling through trapped enemies to grant yourself and allies within Affinity Range 100 Health.
- Protective Sling: Allies touched by Void Sling are granted immunity from damage for 5s and healed 60% over 5s for 10 energy.
- Guardian Shell: Use the First Ability to manifest a barrier on the Operator and allies in Affinity Range. It is invulnerable for 4s when first created. Damage inflicted while invulnerable will be added to its base health of 500.
- Guardian Break: When Guardian Shell breaks, Warframe Shield Regeneration rate increases by 150% and Regeneration Delay is reduced by 90% for 8s.
- Tweaked Rejuvenating Tides: The effect is doubled while controlling your Warframe.
- Tweaked Mending Soul: The first 4 Revives are instantaneous. Additional Revives are 100% faster.
Operator Changes
