Lesson/Activity Title:  Creating a daily Schedule

Grade Level/Subject Area: all grades

Introduction - In order to start of your school year on a successful note, we are going to research and create a schedule to complete your lessons each week

motivate & interest your students.: Students (and LCs for younger students) will be presented with the tools from Google and shown how to search templates of pre-created schedules

Objectives - Students and their LC will create a daily plan and weekly schedule that they will use to dictate their weekly academics.   The families will then save and “SHARE” this live and changeable document with their teacher.  

Materials -  computer, google account, google templates

Learning Activities -

1. Teacher will present (via Elluminate, live with a recording) google docs.
2. teacher will show templates of daily schedules and demonstrate how to edit various formats
3. families will create their own schedule, including the appropriate amounts of time for each subject, each week, including breaks, meal times, extra curricular breaks and “homework” time, for unfinished lesson.  
4. teacher will show how to save the document and share with their teacher

Assessment - Each family will submit a draft of their weekly academic schedule.
