Old Business

Membership

Serge looking for info on connecting the membership form to the paypal link on openstreetmap.us

Richard suggested that the spreadsheet form lead to a landing page with a paypal link.

Thea brings up two methods for handling paypal. Inexpensive option goes to paypal site, comes back. More expensive option embeds paypal in our website.

Serge looking at embedding our form in paypal setup. Feels decision is needed now.

Thea prefers separating treasury from membership data collection.

Decision: Richard will finish this effort, Serge will supply access to openstreetmap.us wordpress and Thea will supply paypal link.

New Business

State of the Map US Meeting

Thea reports that the SOTM US meeting is now scheduled for Wednesdays at 7PM Eastern Time. See the SOTM US page for the access code.

The SOTM US wiki is now updated to reflect the current status.

Steven indicates membership page on OpenStreetmap US still reflects discount on SOTM, which we had decided not to do. Steven volunteers to fix this once he has access to wordpress.

Media/Public Relations

Thea proposes some promotions/partnerships/initiatives to create some excitement around mapping projects. The group should brainstorm about potential projects between now and the next conference call. Small town economic development projects are proposed as an alternative to disaster oriented projects.
