Intro: To Daily Burn, logging in, getting introduced to the site and all it has to offer

Lesson focus (Items to be covered during this day) : Pre-Assessment  Getting Comfortable with Daily Burn

Fitness component (Heart rate, step counts, etc.): All of them, Daily Burn covers all areas of fitness

Assessment(s): Make students aware of Picasa and print screen

Closure: Have students go home and enter in their first logs, print screen results and post it to blogs.

Instant Activity (IA) / Warm-up (Name and brief description of the IA, game): Onion Jousting, Empty tennis ball cans and tennis ball required for each student, object is to balance your tennis ball upon the empty tennis ball can while others try to knock it off

Intro: Commend class on their blogs. Remind them that we are going to be contuing the workout.

Intro: Well as you can see we are in the workout room today. We are going to be using the treadmills to achieve out workout for today.

Intro: Today we are going to stray away from the treadmill and use the Step Up Machine.

Assessment(s): Up, Down

Instant Activity (IA) / Warm-up (Name and brief description of the IA, game): Partner Tag, identify one person as the tagger and one person as the chaser, the chaser will have 30 seconds to tag the dodger, switch roles

Intro: Have everyone write down a number 1-50 on a piece of paper. Add up total, that’s now our goal for push ups as a class.

Lesson focus (Items to be covered during this day):  Push Ups

Fitness component (Heart rate, step counts, etc.): Musucular Strength, endurance

Assessment(s): Up, Down, Straight Back

Intro: Hey all, hope everyone’s day is going well so far, for today we are going to be outside on the track working with relay races.

Assessment(s): Run

Closure: Did everyone feel the burn today? I know I did that’s for sure. Great job today. Next class is going to be even more fun, log and blog.

Intro: Last class we did relay races, now its going to individual sprints, we are doing the timed mile.

Assessment(s): Run, Pace Yourself

Instant Activity (IA) / Warm-up (Name and brief description of the IA, game): Chuck The Chicken, break class into two teams, team A takes the chicken and in a single file line passing the chicken from beginning to end, then the last person throws it as far away as possible

Intro: Now we are going to switch gears and work on muscular strength, I have dumbbells that I brought in today, ranging from 5-25 pounds, use what you feel comfortable.

Assessment(s): Elbows tucked in

Instant Activity (IA) / Warm-up (Name and brief description of the IA, game): Don’t Get Caught With The Cookie, 2 students are taggers, half of the rest of the class are given balls, or cookies, taggers can only tag those with the cookie, those with the cookie may throw it to those without it to avoid being tagged,

Intro: We are going to be working on squats, use an appropriate weight, do not overdo yourself.

Lesson focus (Items to be covered during this day):  Squats

Fitness component (Heart rate, step counts, etc.): Strength

Assessment(s): Up, Down, Back Straight

Instant Activity (IA) / Warm-up (Name and brief description of the IA, game): Paper or Plastic, Each student is given a plastic bag and a partner, partners are at opposite sides, each partner is instructed to toss the plastic bag in the air, then the other partner must move in a certain manner and catch the bag before it drops

Intro: Second to last day, get ready for next class, work by yourselves on any area of choice. There are pieces of equipment scattered across the gym, help yourselves, make sure to keep track of your workouts.
