Air Force College ROTC & Air Force Academy Virtual Information Session for Western Nebraska is happening tonight at 5 PM MT/6 PM CT Zoom link to join has been sent to all students via school email.

Students, WNCC will be giving the ACCUPLACER a placement test for college to all students who need to bump up their scores for a two year institution.  You should be signing up to take this test if:

1).  You are wanting to go to a 2 year college and you don't love your ACT score

2).  You are enrolled in Technical Math next semester and would like to receive college credit.  The test will be held on November 20th (block to be determined).  To sign up stop in Mrs. Watson's office.

Congratulations to our All State Band qualifiers  Brendilou Armstrong (flute), Luke Kahl (tuba) 2 time qualifier and Kayley Galbraith (trombone & bassoon) also a 2 time qualifier BUT on different instruments which, according to Mr. Rischling, is the 1st time a band student has qualified for all state on 2 different instruments.

Sophomores and Juniors the PSAT (Practice SAT Exam) will be held on October 29th in the HS Library.   The PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship junior year.  The test is all morning, $15, and optional.   All students interested in taking the practice exam need to sign up with Mrs.  Watson, there are 20 testing spots available.

Chadron will be starting a new FCCLA chapter (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) - the focus will be on Human Services, Hospitality and Tourism, Education and Training, and Visual Arts and Design. To find out more on this new and exciting club, please come to the informational meeting this Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in the library. See Mrs. Budler if you have any questions or cannot attend.

Congratulations FFA members! Your perseverance to compete at state 5 months later paid off big time. We have an individual state champion in Veterinary Science (Samantha Johns), Biotechnology and Livestock Management placed 2nd, with Vet Science a strong 3rd place, and TONS of RIBBONS!-check out Ms. Moore’s door for individual placings and the newly designed trophy case that’s ready for more this YEAR!
