MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE FYLDE CRICKET LEAGUE HELD AT BLACKPOOL CC ON TUESDAY 8 MAY 2012.

PRESENT: L Lee, M Whitehead, B Jackson, T Pickles, T Rawstron, R Armer.

APOLOGIES: J Bamford, P Lever, D Lever, L Archer.

ABSENT: I Condron, S Rawcliffe.

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:  Were passed and agreed.

MATTERS ARISING: No word yet from D Darwen on Grant contact nor receipt of “Guide to Club Cricket.” TR TO CHASE.

CORRESPONDENCE:  As before, TR has categorised as follows:

• Information to all clubs from JB re coming season & T20 format.
• JB keeping in touch with De Vere re possible joining in 2013.
• JB has updated League Rules onto FCL website.
• JB has kept contact with Shelagh Parkinson of the Gazette over progress(?) of Stanley Park 3 and if promises are not kept to the standard previously declared then perhaps she will write a piece.
• JB checking with LA over standard of results inputting and submission of teamsheets/M of M/Fairplay submissions by umpires.
• JB chasing St Annes CC to rearrange fixture v Wyre CC.
• JB has relaunched FCL Guestbook.
• Handbooks and Teamsheets. The former only ready by 4pm on first day of season. Thanks to considerable help from LL, TR managed to distribute them to all clubs by the Sunday of that weekend.
• JB apologies for missing meeting and sending his reports(below).

SECRETARY’S REPORT:  Covered in above.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Bank after items in/out but not on last statement= £697.23. Adverts paid by Dalton Press, St Annes CC and Poulton Sports. Regns and Subs from St Annes CC, Ingol and Bispham Mercs. NOTE TR to remove Spit and Polish from 2013 Handbook as BJ has retired.

FIXTURE SECRETARYS REPORT: Dave Wolfenden (Bispham) checking exact venues of fixtures printed as “tbc” and will advise. Struggling to gain access to PlayCricket website as he has not gained access rights from Tim Mills.

JB has asked Dave Hopkinson(St Annes CC) to clarify St Annes home fixtures.

Handbooks show fixtures printed in small case that is hard to read. TR had omitted to print spreadsheet for RA but JB will contact him to clarify.

 UMPIRES’ SECRETARY’S REPORT: All umpires have a supply of Handbooks and Teamsheets.

PRESS SECRETARY’S REPORT: Newsletter to be started now season underway.

REGISTRATION SECRETARY’S REPORT:  None.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS: JB still awaiting proposal/costs from Mushy at Super Sports re T20. Meeting felt if it did not arrive we should proceed as normal and in white. This will ultimately save the League money but we should remain mindful of the need to raise funds whenever we can- ie raffles at events like this.
