Setting

Long ago, in a cottage in the woods

A witch’s house in a forest in Germany

Europe, long ago, in a palace

Little Red, named for the cape her mother made for her

Snow White, a princess who is very beautiful

Their dad (because he didn’t want to leave them)

Cinderella, beautiful, sweet, kind, treated unfairly by her step-mother

Conflict (problem)              

Wolf tricks LR into dallying in the woods. Wolf eats Grandma.

Wolf pretends to be LR’s grandma so he can eat LR up.

Queen  keeps trying to kill Snow White because she wants to be the “fairest”.  She orders the huntsman to kill her first, then she tries to kill her herself.

Mom abandons the kids in the woods.

They find the witch’s house. Then the witch tries to eat them.

Mom dies and her father remarries a mean woman who makes Cinderella do all the work.

There is a ball and Cinderella can’t go.

Solution

Woodcutter kills the wolf and saves LR and grandma

The dwarves build her a glass coffin and a prince sees her and falls in love with her. She agrees to marry him.

Gretel tricks the witch and frees Hansel. They return home with jewels.

Fairy godmother turns stuff into stuff she needs to go to the ball. Prince falls in love with her and they get married.

Magic/fantasy

Wolf can talk

Grandma and LR are still alive and well in the wolf’s belly

Queen uses poisons and spells to try to kill her.

Snow White comes back to life.
