NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission that we formally recognize Jane Woodruff as Volunteer of the Year on behalf of the Ephrata Cloister Associates. Last year when the Ephrata Cloister Associates agreed to provide visitor services on both Mondays and Tuesdays from May through October, Jane volunteered not just for her regular shift every Monday but also agreed to guide a Tuesday shift every week as well. She assisted in whatever capacity she was needed with every AAA bus group that came to the site last spring –28 motor coach tours in three months – sometimes two a day. Jane volunteers for every Community Days educational program and every special event. She assists with school programs and is always ready, willing, and able to help wherever she is needed most at a moment's notice with a smile on her face. Jane’s willingness to tackle any job with a can-do attitude contributes significantly to the efficient management and implementation of Ephrata Cloister Associates programs.
