HIGHSTAKES. Web: www.highstakes.co.za

This is a venue that caters almost exclusively to 4X4’ers and BMX bikers. There are tracks for this purpose. It has the advantage of being only about 9,3km from Emoyeni.

If you decide to stay at Highstakes. ONLY book into one of the rooms on the first floor of the main building. ) There are rooms spread in a factory area, NOT recommended!)

There are four rooms with two beds en suit. One family room with a double bed and 3 single beds en suite. These are neat rooms with a great view over the valley and the 4x4 track.

There are also 4 rooms with no windows with two beds and no bathroom. They have a shared bathroom.

The approach to this establishment is unbelievably messy as it is basically attached to a factory making livestock feed. You may have to enter through the unkempt factory grounds It would put any woman off (and most men) who approached this venue!

The reception and dining area is so so... The Off-road crowd seem to live with the outside entrance but the en suite rooms are fine.
