What is Output?
An output is an output signal from an electronic device such as a personal computer. It’s data that’s been processed into a useful form. The output signal can be directed in a number of output devices made specifically for such processed data such as a printers, speakers, and monitors. There are four basic types of output: text, graphics, audio, and video. It’s the opposite of input.

Laser jet printers go through five steps when printing: 1. Feeding the paper, 2. Deflecting a laser beam on the drum, 3. Creating a charge which results in the toner sticking to the drum, 4. Transferring the toner from the drum to the paper, and 5. Fusing the toner permanently to the paper through heat and pressure. I believe laser jet printers are of much higher quality than ink jet printers. On an ink jet, a drop of water will smear the ink, whereas on a laser jet, the dry toner is embedded on the paper.
Riley Plumer:
Data projector is a device that takes the text and images displaying on a computer screen and projects them on a larger screen so that an audience can see the image clearly. For example, many classrooms use data projectors so that all students easily can see an instructor’s presentation on the screen. An interactive whiteboard is a touch-sensitive device, resembling a dry erase board, that displays the image on a connected computer screen. Tactile output provides the user with a physical response form the device. For example, users may sense a bumping feeling on their hand while scrolling a smart phone’s contact list.

LCD Monitors uses liquid crystal technology to display images. Plasma is a display that uses gas plasma technology, which sandwiches a layer of gas between two glass plates. The UV light causes the pixels on the screen to glow and form an image.
