The children will learn if bubbles be use to determine wind direction. 

 The children will blow bubbles to tell wind direction.

  1. The teacher will take the students outside to to determine wind direction. 
  2. Have the children sit on the ground.
  3. The teacher will discuss how wind helps us.
  4. The teacher will describe what a compass is and how is use.
  5. The teacher will discuss the experiment to the children.
  6. Distribute bubble wand and dish with bubbles.
  7. The teacher will ask the children which way do they think the wind is blowing.
  8. Have the children blow bubbles to determine wind direction.
  9. Have the children tell which way the wind is blowing. 
  1. Which direction did your bubbles move?
  2. From which direction is the wind moving?
  3. About how far did your bubbles blow before popping or falling to the ground?
  4. What about if the wind would be blowing harder? Would the bubbles travel farther before popping?
  5. What would happen to the bubbles if there was no wind?
  6. What other evidence shows wind blowing?
