Department: Information Technology (ITS)

Reports To: ITSC Coordinator

SUMMARY:

A student worker in the Information Technology Service Center is responsible for assisting faculty and staff with day-to-day computer problems.  The student workers will be assigned help desk calls to work on by the student manager or professional staff and will report any issues with resolutions to those individuals.  Student workers in general will assist with: desktop support, printer maintenance issues, accessory installation and configuration, and other duties as assigned.  A good candidate for this role will have good communication skills, have good decision-making abilities, and be able to work well by oneself or in a team environment.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform hardware and software maintenance on University-owned equipment.

Provide excellent customer service to University students, faculty, and staff.

Install computers for student workers and computer labs.

Research solutions for rare and uncommon computer maladies.
