September 18, 2012 - Les Jolis Trésors, the Long Beach contemporary art gallery, is proud to announce new accomplishments in expanding its portfolio of offers and services.

Living in Southern California since 2006, Annie and Gilles Clavel have been working hard promoting the art in Long Beach despite the slow economy. In the past twelve months they have successfully added new offers in publishing and art classes.


“Paradise Has Disappeared” will be the first book published (print and ebook) by Les Jolis Tresors in Long Beach.

Annie and Gilles used to launch this project which was successfully 125% funded on September 3rd. The book has been written in French in Long Beach by Gilles and is illustrated by Annie. It has been translated to English by Greg Richter, a professor at Truman State University (Mo).

Art Classes

Annie started organizing art classes in September 2011.
Since then she successfully organized more than 40 sessions or workshops in Drawing, Watercolor or Abstract Acrylic. Learn more at
On October 6, 2012, Les Jolis Tresors is organizing a special event to show the students’ work from the classes



Oct. 6, 5 - 9pm:  Fall is Welcome
Come and celebrate with Les Jolis Tresors!
This special event will show the newly
published book as well as selected art pieces created by the Art class students.

About Les Jolis Trésors: 

Les Jolis Trésors opened its doors in Long Beach's Broadway district in December 2009.

Annie Clavel, the owner and curator, is a French artist who has lived in Long Beach since 2006.

Her gallery specializes in show-casing luxury art pieces by local fine artists and jewelry designers.

Coming from France, Annie and Gilles Clavel had previously lived in different countries including Algeria, Germany, France and Tunisia. In those countries, they worked in a variety of fields including engineering, education and as business entrepreneurs.
