Shrimp Creole

Ingredients:
2lbs peeled shrimp
1 16oz can Delmonte stewed tomatoes
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup flour
1/2 white onion (chopped)
2 tbs green onions
1/2 cup celery
1/2 cup bell pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (I tend to add a little extra to kick up the heat)
2 tbs fresh parsley
1/3 cup oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tbs granulated sugar
salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup water
Cooked rice
Directions:
1. Heat oil and saute onion, celery, and bell pepper until soft
2. Add flour and blend well
3. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water (stirring constantly)
4. Lower heat and add salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, sugar, garlic powder, and parsley. Cook 5 minutes
5. Add raw shrimp and simmer 20 minutes
6. Add green onions 5 minutes before serving
7. Serve with cooked rice
