c – similar to the English sound ts in fits: noc, co

cz – pronounced with the mouth in the position of English r, similar to the English sound ch in chalk: czas, gracz

ć – pronounced with the mouth in the position of English y, similar to the English sound ch in cheek: choć

ci – pronounced the same as ć but occurs before vowels: ciasto, cicho

dz – similar to the sound in the English odds: cudzy

 – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English r, similar to the English sound j in jaw: dżem

 – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English y, similar to the English sound j in jeans: wiedźma

dzi – pronounced the same as  but occurs before vowels: dziadek

sz – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English r similar to the English sound sh in shark: szal

ś – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English y, similar to the English sound sh in sheep: kwaśny

si – pronounced the same as ś but occurs before vowels: siwy

ż – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English r (same goes for rz, pronounced like ż), similar to the English sound s in pleasure: plaża

ź – pronounced with the mouth in the position of the English y, similar to the English z in azure: źle

zi – pronounced the same as ź, occurs before vowels: zima
