Maths
Visit this website, enter your name, then go to the Tower of Hanoi activity. You goal is to see how many discs you can use to successfully solve the tower puzzle. Start with the three discs you see on the first puzzle, then see how high you can go.
Reading
Read for 20 minutes each day, from Monday to Thursday (you can read for more, and read in the weekends too!)
Writing
Read the class blog post, then go to your own website and do a post on the blog page. You need to write about all of the subjects that appear on our class blog, plus anything else that you would like to add.
French
Visit the class blog and go to our ‘Let’s Learn French’ blog. Watch the weekly post that is put up and leave a comment. If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use on of the class computers before school.
This week the post will be on the French names of animals that you may have as pets at home. This is the same post as last week, as we have only just finished the Families unit.
Te Reo Maori
Visit the class blog and go to our ‘Let’s Learn Te Reo Maori’ blog. Check out the new weekly post that is put up and leave a comment. You can also go through the previous posts to revise on older lessons. ( If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use on of the class computers before school).
This week the post is on looking at asking the question ‘How are you?’ to three or more people.
Spelling
Learn your weekly list of words. Spend time each night going over them so that you are ready to be tested on Friday.
Health and PE
Go outside and play whenever you get the opportunity. This could include kicking your rugby ball, climbing trees, skateboarding, and shooting hoops on the netball court. In fact, any physical activity to get your heart pumping and the blood flowing. Just do it!
Mr Nelson likes to go to the gym and Mrs Hodgkinson has started to hit the streets with regular running sessions. If we can do it, you can too!
Topic
On the class blog under Sites we Like (you will see this on the bottom right of the page) click on Sorted Games and have a play with the many games that you have access to through this link. As you play the games, think about the type of financial language that is used.
