ECONOMICS CURRENT EVENTS BLOG INSTRUCTIONS

1. Go to www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com  to create your blog. Name your blog. You need to create a free goggle account, if you do not already have one.
2. Annotate the articles or cartoon (i.e., comment on them) applying the principles and concepts we have discussed in class: scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, GDP, etc. Indicate in at least 4 sentences the connection to your learning in class this year.
3. Try to use a variety of sources.  You may use a maximum of two cartoons that are about an economic concept.

Find at least one source on each of each of the following:

• Economic Indicators (GDP, unemployment, inflation, etc.)
• Capitalism, Market Economy, or Supply and Demand

4. Make you sure you add internet link to the source of any article you use.
5. Make sure you e-mail or tell your teacher (james_redelsheimer@rdale.org) your blog website address. (ex: www.econ-baby!@blogger.com)

Other Essential Info:

1. Just use your initials or 1st name only on your blog. You may work with a partner, or by yourself.
2. Only one partner should create the blog: To add a co-blogger, sign in, click on Settings  Permissions  Add Authors, then enter your partner’s e-mail address.
3. Go to www.netvibes.com/redonomics for more economics articles than you will ever need, and to see your classmates’ blogs.
