GCT Enhancements / Suggestions / Ideas

CIRCLES

• Ability to create a CIRCLE from a “contact group” already created in GMail (Chad Kafka)

• Though I did notice when a CIRCLE group was the same name as one of my contact groups, that Google+ asked if I wanted to “add” the same people that were in that contact group to my Circle. Maybe this feature is there and just not obvious on how to do it?

• Ability to Share a circle with others so they don’t need to build up the same circle. eg, if we want to start a GCT circle it seems as though we all need to create one of our own circles. (matt montagne)
• Possible to see what “circle” you are put in by others? (or is it a privacy issue?) (Chad Kafka)
• Possible to choose how your Circles line up on the left side of the screen instead of in alphabetical order? Have the choice by most people in a circle?  Also - would help when adding someone to a circle and if the pop up Circle box is set by “most in circle” so I don’t have to keep scrolling to a circle that is further down the list alphabetically. (Chad Kafka)
• What about a way to put a person ONLY in a Circle? I’ve just started following some very well-known people on Google+ and when I’m in full on STREAM view, the responses to their posts are great in number and take up way to much space.  Would like to just put those people in a FAMOUS PEOPLE Circle and go read their stuff when I want by clicking on that Circle. Not sure if feasible/possible. Just a thought. (Chad Kafka)

STREAMING

• Ability to have Google+ “link” up and send updates to Twitter, Facebook, other social media or vice versa to receive those updates from those services (Mark Wagner mentioned on Google+ in a post)
• Be great to receive RSS updates from blogs, wikis, etc.

SHARING

• Be able to embed videos inline from google docs (matt montagne)
• Would be nice if you could change the privacy level for an update after it has been posted. (matt montagne)
• Sharing via Google Reader either by Shared Items or Send To menu

MISC

• Will there be a way (feature) to “link” multiple Google accounts to one account (Example: my personal account and an account I have through GAFE at school)?  I think with the availability of CIRCLES, I can create my different “life” groups without having to logout/login to another account or use the “switch accounts” feature.  Just an idea. • Integrate posting with twitter, fb, 4square etc
• On the mobile version, there is no access to sparks. (Michelle Krill)
• When in desktop mode on a mobile device (iphone 4), the keyboard does not pop up to enter a comment. (Michelle Krill)
• It would be awesome to be able to use embed code in the stream box. Edmodo does this and then you can embed things from other places. I’m thinking about student work here. (Michelle Krill)
