Google Drive/Docs

Google drive is your storage area: like an external hard drive or flash drive

Google docs are your files:  documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, videos, images

CHANGE to Google DRIVE if you haven’t already!

1.  Create file

2.  Upload file-

• option to convert file types (then editable) or just upload for storage (only viewable or downloadable, view in program created)
• collections now called folders
• create a folder and add files to folder

• explain the difference between moving file and copying file
• moving files is done by dragging and dropping- but can only be in one folder then
• copying to multiple folders: organize click and select folder icon on top- to select multiple folders, use CTRL

• create a folder within a folder
• sharing a doc
• sharing a folder
• searching for files/folders
• view revision history and restore versions
