Laid Noodles
yield: 2 people
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
pinch of salt
water (about ¼ cup or less)
100g/3.5oz white cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
sugar
Directions:
Sift the flour, add the eggs, salt and enough water to get smooth dough which you can easily scoop with a spoon. Beat the dough with a wooden spoon for a while to put inside it some air (dumplings will be softer).
Using the small teaspoon form small dumplings and lay them into the boiling, salted water (dip the spoon in water after each dumpling so you can form them easier). Cook about 2-3 minutes after they float to the surface.
Serve with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and crumbled white cheese.
Enjoy!:)
Note: You can also serve them as a side dish with meat and sauce (e.g. polish style pork stew).
