PRE-MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Limit use of cell phones. If I see it out, I'll call you out/make it super awkward/take it up
- "Parliamentary" style: Raise your hand if you would like to speak, no side conversations, limit tangents
- Status of mission statement

- Tell them it'll be an online vote (since there are CIA members now who cannot make Sunday CIA meetings)
PREPARATION
- Powerpoint Presentation on Randell’s fav heroes: Iron Man, Batman, Spiderman, and Link
- Brief explanation of Legend of Zelda’s Hyrulian legend of the Triforce
- Made some connections between the Triforce and the Trinity
- Volunteers shared some of their fav heroes
- “Lean On Me” Activity
- With a partner, touch palms together and gradually move apart
- Brief discussion
- “Ships and Sailors” Activity
- Faux round of Ships and Sailors to break everyone up into small groups
MEETING
- Opening Prayer
- Topic: Best Friends and Heroes
- Brief discussion on best friends and how they help us out and how the Catholic saints are like our “best friends in heaven”
- Randell explained how he asked for the intercessions of St. Juan Diego, St. Cecilia, and St. Servatus during high school
- Readings from the Catechism
- CCC 954, 3 States of the Church
- Church Militant (earth), Church Suffering (purgatory), Church Triumphant (heaven)
- CCC 957, the Communion of Saints is the Church Triumphant
- CCC 956, the saints intercede for us
- St. Dominic and St. Therese quotes
- Randell told the story about St. Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadelupe
- Each CIA wrote down 7 names of people they would like to pray for over the next week
- Each CIA also will pray for their “Lean on Me” partner for the next week
- At the end, we prayed the Litany of the Saints

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Idea of “missions” was introduced
- A CIA “mission” is an opportunity to serve/lead/invite
- This is a great way to practice for Confirmation retreat small groups
- Encouraged use of the Facebook group or email to communicate/hang out online
- Introduced the idea of Prayer Teams
- Prayer Teams will lead structured prayer every CIA meeting
- Each small group was assigned a month to be responsible for
- Reiterated that leading a Rosary prior to Mass is a way to serve
- Jason came up to talk about this and had the sign up sheet
- CIA Minute sign-ups after the meeting on first come, first serve basis
