What’s in a Book Talk?

1. Not more than 5 minutes

2. Author, Title

3. Genre

4. summary - that gives a taste of what the book is about but doesn’t give anything away. Introduces the main characters

5. AR level

6. reading level to you - the reader (vacation, just right, challenge)

7. rating out of 10

Book talks are not (usually) read off a paper, or card or anything else.  They are a talk.

Audience roll - listen!  If you like the sound of the book, write it down in your notebook under Someday Books!
