 The children identify some symbols that are important to the United States.

Identify the United States symbols and draw a picture of the United State symbol.

  1.  Have the children name their state and the state capitol.
  2. Display pictures of the capitol building and flag.
  3. Explore the symbols of the United States.
  4. Discuss United States Symbols.
  5. Have the children discuss each symbol and answer questions: What colors are  in the American Flag? What do you think happens in the capitol building in Washington D.C.? What does the Liberty Bell stands for? What name is given to to the leader of the United States? Who does the Washington monument honors? Why is the eagle a good symbol for the United States? What does the Statue of Liberty stands for?hat colors
