- Explain what weather is.
- Have volunteers tell what they think the words rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, cold, and hot.
- Encourage the children to add their ideas, too, until a working definition is reach for the word.
- Have the children complete the following sentence frame: When the weather is (rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy) I like to _________.
- Have the children decide on an appropriate weather symbol.
- Distribute weather graph to record daily weather and compare weather of the week.
