Media-Think Tank Relations
Media and think tanks have strong incentives to engage with each other. While think tanks need the media to propagate their research findings to the policy makers and attentive public, the media needs think tank expertise to explain issues and analyse current affairs. For think tanks to bolster media engagement and visibility, it is important to understand these dynamics. Join Ahmed Rashid, the Think Tank Initiative’s Research Award Recipient, who will share insights on these issues based on a study conducted in Bangladesh, where he interviewed Bangladeshi journalists, media experts and think tanks communications staff.
