Centering Prayer - Mondays @ 11:00am | Do you want to learn new spiritual practices? Do you desire to deepen your spiritual life? Do you need some time of quiet listening in the midst of a busy life? All are invited to drop in for Centering Prayer on Mondays, 11:00-11:30am in Wingate 213 (beginning September 10). Centering Prayer is a form of meditation or contemplative prayer that is grounded in the teachings of Father Thomas Keating. Each week, we have a time of brief check-in and 20 minutes of silence, followed by any sharing that emerges from the silence. An introduction and simple guidelines are provided for those who have not practiced Centering Prayer. Sponsored by the Office of Admissions & Student Services of Wake Forest University School of Divinity. For more information, contact Rev. Chris Copeland, Assistant Director of Leadership Development,, 336.758.3629.

Pathways in Ministry: Nurturing the Spiritual Life in Ministry | The demands of time, energy, and focus in theological education and ministry are great. How do we nurture our spiritual lives to keep us grounded in the love of God and help us continue to listen for where we are being called in life and ministry? These are questions we will explore together through conversation and spiritual practices at our first Pathways in Ministry workshop of the year, Wednesday, August 29 at 11:00am in Wingate 202. Pathways in Ministry is an initiative of the School of Divinity that provides workshops and panel discussions for students to be exposed to the many paths of engaging in professional ministry, to build skills to aid their search for ministry placement, and to prepare for the demands of ministry by learning important personal, professional, and spiritual practices. Snacks will be provided and all are welcome! For more information, contact Chris Copeland,
