• Grant - Get a license and attribution page link as an XML Comment into these APIs: Rails API. (should be complete soon)
• Mike -  combine Bing Imagery License comments as a succinct list for forwarding to Microsoft legal.
• Mike - Incorporate into foundation landing page http://www.osmfoundation.org/wiki/License/Contributor_Terms_Summary
• Mike - Provide text to Grant re http://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright and friends in Sept 20th minutes. ?OS or linking to attribution page or both? … liaise with CWG communicaton@osmfoundation.org

Global picture:

• Older contributor acceptances now 65,260 up from 65,110 - slowing right down, an increase of 150 over last week; declines up to 413. [1]

• Nodes that will likely not survive the license change are down from 17.72M to 17.48M [2]
• Ways which may have to be completely deleted are down from 1.26M to 1.24M [2]
• Problematic relations down from 35.56K to 35.24K[2]

6. Technical Rebuild

LWG understands that: Code still not quite complete. Andy Allan now helping Matt Amos. An estimated two full days coding to do - particularly some subtleties to do with relations. Then a non live test on a machine that is all ready to go now. Then a live test on a bounding box around the island of Ireland. Then live worldwide (probably on a change-set basis, not on a region by region basis).

Communication

Henk and Richard will coordinate as CWG members. Dermot/Matt can sanity check. No major role for LWG. LWG suggests a blog update when the non-live test starts.

7. Hall of Shame

Microsoft, Germany military site blurring 

Discussion in Germany died down after a response from Microsoft. We are happy with the response provided that progress happens, we will continue passive monitoring.

8. AOB

- GADM - Simon reports lack of progress … however individuals sources may not be usable by OSM at all due to non-commercial clauses. Simon has sent mail to DWG.

- Post License Change Attribution proposal by Richard Fairhurst:

"Our requested attribution is "© OpenStreetMap contributors".

"You must make it clear that the data is available under the Open Database Licence. This can be achieved by providing a "License" or "Terms" link which links to www.openstreetmap.org/copyright or www.opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl.

"(If you are using tiles from osm.org, you must also make it clear that the tiles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 licence.)"

LWG comment: "© OpenStreetMap" would (also) suffice? (Not that the larger version is bad, just that we'd be more assured of getting the smaller one and mobile screen space etc…). Mike to relay to Richard Fairhurst.
