SUNY Fredonia Google Apps Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Through a partnership with Google, SUNY Fredonia students, faculty, and staff can access the Google Apps for Education Edition, a suite of communication and collaboration tools designed to enhance our ability to work together with a shared email, calendaring, and docs system. SUNY Fredonia’s service is dependent on Google’s SLA for educational institutions.
ITS continues to support the main email and calendaring services for the campus community. The following Google Apps components are fully supported by ITS:
Service Provided for Supported Components
There are many additional components available for use by SUNY Fredonia account holders. These components are not locally supported by ITS. For example, the following Google Apps components are supported by Google:
While Google Labs components are available to use, these are test items that may or may not be available on a continuous basis.
ITS provides a mobile device configuration page for mobile devices. Individual support and configuration assistance is not provided by ITS for mobile devices at this time.
Service Provided for Additional Components
In addition to the Google “Resources” Site, a Google Users Group provides a collaboration space for Google users to post and answer Google Apps functionality questions, including questions related to mobile device usage. ITS is not able to provide FredQuest support or training for the additional components of Google Apps at this time.
Users of the Google Apps for Education Edition are reminded of their responsibility to abide by FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and SUNY Fredonia’s Information Security Policy as they share documents and information within Google Apps. Every user is required to read and agree to the GoogleTerms of Service.
