Common Sense Rules for Blogging

Blog safely.  Avoid posting personal information on the web (including last names, personal details, such as addresses or phone numbers).

Ask permission to write about a person or about a detailed incident involving another person.

Anything you post on the web has the potential to be copied and distributed widely - think about what you post before you post it.  Your blog is a reflection of you.

Posts should be appropriate for all audiences - peers, teachers, parents, future employers, etc.

Comments on other blogs should be appropriate and constructive.

Any posts or comments that are deemed inappropriate will be removed.

Use correct grammar, usage and mechanics.  Take the time to check your post before making it public.

If you link to a website, make sure to read the site carefully to make sure the content is appropriate

Cite your sources (this includes images found on the internet)!
