Student: Restricted Access Moodle ISU



Introduction

Your professor may choose to enable Restricted Access (also known as Conditional Release) in your course. Restricted Access allows your teacher to restrict your access to various activities and resources in the course until you have met certain conditions. Your instructor may choose to have these conditions displayed along with the activity, or to hide the activity entirely until you have met their conditions. If you have questions about the conditions for hidden activities, you will need to refer to your syllabus or consult with your instructor.

Recognize Restricted Access in Your Course

If your instructor has enabled Restricted Access in your course, you will see the activity or resource grayed out with the conditions displayed underneath.

Determine the Criteria Necessary to Access an Activity

Your instructor has a variety of criteria to base your access to items on. The criteria for accessing an individual item can be one of, or any combination of the following. To see how these are displayed, refer to the screenshot below.
