Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installing the WordPress Theme

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The very first step involves installing the newly purchased theme on your WordPress site. This can be done in at least two ways.

Install the theme through WordPress

--------------------------------------------------------

WordPress allows you to install a theme through it`s Theme Manager.

Navigate to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Themes -> Upload and browse for your theme archived in a ZIP format. Click Install Now after you have selected your theme.

Note: Some servers and hosts do not allow installing a theme this way. If it doesn`t work, please use the FTP installation method described below.

Install the theme through FTP

--------------------------------------------------------

If for some reason you can`t install your theme through WordPress` Theme Manager, then you will need to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

This means logging into your Server using FTP, and uploading the unzipped theme folder into the WordPress /themes/ folder: /wp-content/themes/

FTP Clients:

Here are a few free FTP Clients:

Activating the Theme

--------------------------------------------------------

Login to your Dashboard and navigate to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Themes. You should see a list of all available Themes.

In this case, repeat the import process for a second time. You will receive a list of notices that all the files are already copied, but they will now also be visible in the Admin.

How to check if the XML import was successful?

In your Admin, navigate to Sermons, Events or Pages. If you see them populated with new posts, then the import was successful.
