Here are comparables from Clinton, Bush and Obama.  I would note that during both Obama and Clinton’s comparables, there were two Supreme Court nominees.  I would add that the Supreme Court nominations process were totally different in the Clinton and Obama presidencies.  Since the filibuster attempts during President Bush’s presidency, the process has become much more involved and contentious, which takes more staff and member time.

Just confirmed that 17 of 33 judicial emergencies have no nominee (statement below is still accurate).

And, there are a total of 85 vacancies.  I’m trying to get the number of nominees of that total number.  Last I knew it was roughly around 50 percent though.
