Macbeth

Reeves Surgner

Verse 1: Macbeth was content as the thane of Glamis

But then he met the three weird sisters

“Hail to thee thane of Cawdor... Thou shalt be king hereafter” (1.III.48-50)

Their prediction would keep plaguing macbeth.

Bridge 1: From the thane of Glamis, to the thane of Cawdor, he shalt be king hereafter

His wife told him to kill old duncan, Macbeth would not live forever after

Chorus: It started with the witches … predicions

then his wife said “Was hope drunk wherin you dressed yourself?” (1.VII. 35-6)

She called him a coward and he did not like it

he killed Old Duncan and would Regret it

Verse 2: And now Macbeth, is the king of Scotland

But Malcolm and Macduff have fled

To England to amass an army, to take back what is theirs

He cannot die unless by a “man of  a woman’s born” (5.VII.13)

Bridge 2: By now the robes of his title “Hang loose about him, like a giant's robe

Upon a dwarfish thief” (5.II.23-24)

And even when, he loses his head he will never, ever weep

Chorus: It started with the witches … predicions

then his wife said “Was hope drunk wherin you dressed yourself?” (1.VII. 35-6)

She called him a coward and he did not like it

he killed Old Duncan and would Regret it

Verse 3: The robes of his title, became too big for him

and eventually they were taken away

By Macduff in his rage that Macbeth killed his family

And at the end Malcolm gained reign

Bridge 3: Fair is foul and foul is fair

and the robes are important too

these are the things that happen

again and again

Chorus: It started with the witches … predicions

then his wife said “Was hope drunk wherin you dressed yourself?” (1.VII. 35-6)

She called him a coward and he did not like it

he killed Old Duncan and would Regret it
