CSA Food Bank Food Drive
From the Food Bank, University of Guelph -- The Food Drive Continues!
The CSA Food Bank will be holding it's annual food drive from Nov. 24 - Dec. 12. Help support those in need in your campus community this holiday season. The number of students turning to our service for assistance boomed dramatically this Fall, and your support will help keep the Food Bank open for the remainder of the year. We are currently serving 473 clients and 110 dependents including 42 children.
Non-perishable goods can be brought to the FoodBank bin in the UC Centre courtyard. Cash donations can be brought to the CSA Office, and cheques made payable to "Central Student Association," with FoodBank in the memo line. Preference for monetary donations as it enables the FoodBank to order milk, bread, fresh produce and proteins, which aren't typically donated.

Co-curricular Transcript
From Shannon Thibodeau, Student Life, University of Guelph
Student Life has been piloting a Co-curricular Transcript (CCT) since May 2010. We're now ready to move beyond the pilot to start including other activities on the CCT! The initial list of student activities are ones that offer concrete opportunities for learning to be applied, reflection to take place, and skills to be honed and developed. These activities must ...
Any activity being submitted for inclusion should meet these criteria. The process to propose a new activity is a simple 4 steps as follows:
The advisory group will review submitted proposals each semester and return to you with questions as needed. Any activity proposed and accepted this year would have a start date effective the beginning of the academic year (May 2011).

Fiction and poetry in UoG’s Literary-Art magazine “Carousel Magazine”
From Carousel, University of Guelph
Carousel Magazine is a Literary-Art magazine that has been running out of The University of Guelph as a CSA club since 1983. The editorial committees are run entirely by Undergraduate and Graduate students and they decide whether a piece of fiction or poetry gets published in our bi-yearly magazine. We are always looking for new members to contribute to this decision-making process. This is a great opportunity to get experience in literary editing and publishing and to gain exposure to the work of both established and up-and-coming writers.
If you are interested:
When:
Fiction Meetings are bi-weekly on Mondays from 5:30 -7pm
Poetry Meetings are every Wednesday from 5:30-7pm
Where: Both meetings are in UC 216.
