Directions to SJA Cross Country Practice Locations

South Mastick Park - this is our most common practice location other than th school itself.  It is exactly 3 miles from the Academy and is found in the Rocky River Metroparks.

From SJA, take Rocky River Drive SOUTH 1.5 miles to Puritas.  Turn right/west on Puritas and follow past the light at Grayton and down into the park.  Turn left/south on Valley Parkway.  The parking lot for South Mastick will be on the left ¼ mile from Puritas.

Memorial Field - this is a larger greenspace found in the Rocky River Metropark about 2 miles from SJA to the north.  

From SJA, take Rocky River Drive NORTH 1.0 mile to Old Hogsback road (its found on the left side of a sharp right hand bend).  Travel down the hill until it dead ends at Valley Pkwy.  Turn right on Valley Parkway and travel just a quarter mile.  Memorial Field is on the left.

        Memorial field can also be reached from the Rocky River side of the park by traveling down Rockcliff Road, which is found just south of Joe’s restaurant off Wooster Road.  Travel down Rockcliff to the bottom, turn right on Valley Pkwy, cross the bridge.  Memorial field will be on the right.

Wendy Park/Whiskey Island - we typically go to this park once during the summer.  Go to same exit off Route 2 shoreway as Edgewater Park.  At that exit follow the signs down the access road for 1 mile WEST of Edgewater Park.  

Lakewood Park -

From SJA turn left/north on Rocky River Drive.  Follow to McKinley and turn right/north on it.  Pass the freeway and turn right/east on Hilliard.  Follow Hilliard past Madison to Warren.  Turn left/north on Warren past Detroit all the way to Lake Road.  Turn right/east on Lake Rd for one block then left into the park.
