Q: Can anyone remove a template from the gallery or just the user who submitted it?

A: Only the person who submitted the template can remove it.

________________________________________________________________

Q: When people rate the template, is there a place to submit a note for improvements to it?

A: At this time it's only possible to rate the template.

________________________________________________________________

Q: Does Gapps give administrators the ability to restrict, or moderate, template submissions to domain gallery?

A: At this time, it's not possible for administrators to monitor the submissions to the domain template gallery.

________________________________________________________________

Q: is there a way to version a template- ie create a new version replacing the previous one or to have the template linked to a live document that someone updates as necessary? so each time a person selects the template they are getting the latest

A: A template is actually based on a live document. When you update the document, the template is updated. However, once someone uses a template, they create a copy of whatever is there, they won't be tied to updates.

________________________________________________________________

Q: Also is there a way to restrict portions of a template so they cannot be customized?  Like a disclaimer on a field trip form?

A: Unfortunately there's no way to restrict portions of a template at this time.

________________________________________________________________

Q: just wondering when acessing a file with a link as shared for the current presentation are edits / modifications synched with my copy of the file?

A: With Google Docs, there's only one version of a document available online, so edits and modifications happen in real-time. Everyone with a link will see the latest version.

________________________________________________________________

Q: How about versioning of the templates?  Is that possible, as you can have versioning history in docs and spreadsheets.

A: At this time it's not possible to have different versions of the templates. As a template owner, you could revert to different versions (as the template is really just one of your docs), but others can only see the latest version.

Q: Is the site list going to improve like the doc list keeps improving any time soon?

A: The great thing about cloud computing is we're able to release updates all the time! The engineers are constantly working to improve the UI and functionality of our products.

Q: How do I find information on getting a google certified trainer to assist our staff? We have been using Google Apps since August 2010.

A: On google.com/apps/teachertraining you can see the link to "Find a Certified Trainer"

________________________________________________________________

Q: Are there any self-graded forms in templates?

A: Yes, just do a search in the template gallery for “self-graded forms” or “graded forms.” You can also checkout a Googler’s independent project, flubaroo.com

________________________________________________________________

Q: The dropbox form sounds like a much better idea than students sharing their document with me and cluttering my document list.  Thanks for the tip.

Q: Can Analytics be used on Google Docs to track who is viewing and accessing and using the templates or even normal documents? I try on documents but it did not work.

A: You can use Analytics for published Google documents, but not templates or documents that are accessed via a link. For more information see: http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=98796

________________________________________________________________

Q: can you access flubaroo.com only thought google doc?

A: Yes, Flubaroo is actually an Apps Script that can only work with Google Docs

Q: Tim, is the quiz automated, or do you need to drag the cells down once pupils have submitted their responses?

A: It’s automated, the formula’s are already in there, you don’t need to drag them down.

Q: Can you upload documnets and PDFs, etc. to the google sites.  I thought one of our teachers said that was something he could not do????

A: It is possible to upload documents and PDFs - you can do it via the “file cabinet” page type, or you can have the page setting set to allow attachments, and attach documents to specific pages in your site.
