Tony Chachere’s Seasoning
Preheat oven from 350-400 degrees. Wash asparagus (I do a handful for the two of us) and break off the end. Dry asparagus and place on baking sheet with rim (I guess they call this a jellyroll pan).
Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and season with Tony’s. Gather asparagus up and roll to coat in oil and seasoning. Now you are ready to burn these little guys!
Place in the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until crisp (or burnt!).
Pat and I like ours burned so I typically cook them on 400 for 15 minutes, but it depends on how fat your asparagus are. I also always buy the really skinny asparagus so I can burn them to my heart’s content. However, my mom cooks them on 400 for maybe 10 minutes so they are crisp, but not burned. I used 350 and have used 375 degrees when cooking other items along with the asparagus and I just readjust my cooking time accordingly since I’ve only got one oven.
