Students create a planning sheet to compose a short adventure based on five transition words.

Students write a draft for a story of 5 paragraphs of 3 sentences each which includes an appropriate transition word in each paragraph.

Students choose appropriate transition words for introducing, adding information, comparing, clarifying, and concluding.
