2012-13 Cunningham School Plan

To provide freedom from standards and testing so students have the opportunity to pursue individual interests and work at an customized pace with support, while retaining a rich classical flavor.  (or something like this.... just a general thought about what I am trying to accomplish)

TOG

Stands for Tapestry of Grace- integrated classical curriculum that covers literature, history, church history, geography, etc. on a four year cycle at one of 4 levels of understanding. I pick and choose highlights to fit into 4 hours a week.

Interest-based Classes

I’ve scheduled these so that the bridge the weekend, allowing students to continue with projects and interests that are fun to them and finish up on Monday afternoon. Because I want more accountability that I have seen in passion-centered learning, I’m requiring a proposal and contract, as well as a specific time window.

APEX Program

Part-time Public School Program through SVVSD. My kids are taking a lot of electives this year. Will require some homework/practice.
