My Home Page Moodle ISU


Introduction

My Home is your personal, customizable “dashboard” within Moodle ISU. My Home provides links to your courses and various activities within those courses. My Home is not the same as Home (the homepage for Moodle ISU).

This guide will help you to:

Access the My Home Page

You can get to the My Home page from anywhere in Moodle ISU.

  1. Locate the Navigation block
  2. Click on the My Home option.

Customize the My Home Page

It is possible to customize the My Home page by organizing the courses that are visible and by adding/removing different blocks.  

To organize the courses that are visible:

  1. In the top right corner of the page, Click Customize this page.

  1. In the Course Overview section, Select the number of courses you would like to display from the Number of courses to display: dropdown menu.
  1. You can also reorder the courses by Clicking the perpendicular arrows Perpendicular.JPG in the top left of the course blocks.

To Add/Remove blocks:

  1. Click on the Customize This Page button in the top right corner of the page. You will see a new block show up called Add a Block in your lower left hand column.

Note: If the button on the top right of the My Home page says Stop customizing this page, the editing is already turned on. Click Stop customizing this page to turn editing off.

 

2.   Click on the Add… dropdown menu.

   3.  Click on the block you would like to add.

To edit blocks:

  1. Click on the Customize This Page button.
  2. Locate the block you would like to edit.
  3. Click on the gear icon for the Settings of the block.
  1. You will see the following options:
  1. Configure My private files block
  2. Hide My private files block
  3. Delete My private files block

Note: The Navigation and Settings block cannot be deleted or hidden.

  1. You can move the blocks around by Clicking on the perpendicular arrows  Perpendicular.JPG  next to the gear icon.
