Blackboard allows you to download and save a grade center for use in a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel.

  1. Click Grade Center on the Control Panel menu.
  2. Choose Full Grade Center from the expanded menu.

  1. From the Action Link of the Grade Center, point to Work Offline, then select Download.

  1. By default, the full grade center will be downloaded. To download a single column, click the "Select Column" radio button and choose the column from the drop-menu.
  2. The default Delimiter Type is set to Tab, creating an .xls document. This option should be used if the file will be opened and edited in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Select whether to Include Hidden Information in the downloaded data. Hidden information includes columns and students that have been hidden from the view in the downloaded file.
  4. Choose where to save the file either on your Computer or within the Content Collection. If the file will be edited in Excel, save to My Computer.

  1. Click the Submit button to create the grade center download link.
  2. Click the Download button to save the file.

  1. If the delimiter type option is set to Tab, the Opening MS Excel file window will be displayed. Choose the Open with option, which should default to MS Excel.

  1. Once you clicked on OK, you will see a message window displayed. Select Yes in this window.

  1. When the Excel document containing the Grade Center data is displayed, you can save the grade center file for future reference.
