Initial Reactions

Glenn

  • Better than the second, but not quite as good as the first
  • Shia LaBouf did a solid job
  • Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was way hotter than Megan Fox who is one-dimensional as the sexy-dirty girl
  • X’s note: WHAT!?! Megan Fox is WAY HOTTER!!!
  • Cool to see new transformers and the ghetto-bots get destroyed before the movie in the comic lead-in (see Comics To Checkout below)

Standout Moments or Characters

Glenn's Standouts:

  • War of Cyberton
  • Transformers universe reboot of the human space race.
  • This movie ties plot lines together from the first two
  • Shockwave is not the big bad he is portrayed in the trailers
  • LASERBEAK!
  • John Turturro and John Malkovich stepped up big.

Geek Nirvana

  • Sentinel Prime is introduced
  • Cybretron, Space Bridge and more hardcore Transformers stuff was great

Easter Eggs

  1. Sentinel Prime drops a very familiar catch phrase from another Leonard Nemoy character.
  2. What did you guys catch as Easter eggs in the movie? Shot us an email at podcast@alt3redegos.com and let us know!

Final Thoughts

  • Glenn: I liked it a lot, but defiantly not best movie of the summer.
  • “If you just sit back and kind of blank out a little bit and enjoy a fun summer time action movie, this is a movie for you.”
