  3. Have the children play “Simon Says,” using the words left or right.
  4. Help the children recognize the left and the right by using a blue square cards in the left  hand and  red on their right hand.
  5. Have the children identify the child that sits next to him/her right or left side?

 Where is the the bear over or under the basket?

  1. Have the children how the teacher walks around the classroom, describing the location and position of several objects.
  2. Point to specific objects and ask the children to describe the location.
  3. Distribute bear counters and plastic cups to each child.
  4. Set a bear beside above the basket. Where is the bear?
  5. Lift the basket and place the bear under it.  
  6. Have the children answer recall the location of the bear?
  7. Discuss why location is so important in our daily activities.
  8.  Discuss what happens to objects that are not place in a proper location.
