PANEL ONE: A Wayfarer from a far northern nunnery is walking alongside an emissary on a horse. The Emissary is wearing extravagant garb meant to impress, more ceremonial than practical. He bears a banner marked with the heraldry of the kingdom to which he is bound. Plumage from his helmet dances behind him. The Wayfarer wares rags and it’s clear that she has been walking for a days. She has a small bag carrying her rations. They are seen partly as silhouettes in the foreground and the view is a wide panorama of a lush medieval landscape, the beginnings of a village can be seen on the right in front of them. It’s daytime. The Emissary has his head turned toward the Wayfarer.

Wayfarer: “...to see the good king”

Emissary: “For what purpose?”

PANEL TWO: A closer view of the two characters, the two are now closer to the village.

Wayfarer: “To plead for his charitable graces.”

PANEL THREE: They are within the village, which appears to be prosperous. No vagrants or poorly dressed people.

Emissary: “You overestimate the extent of his generosity.”

PANEL FOUR: The Wayfarer looks puzzled in response to the Emissary’s statement.

Emissary: “AND, I’m guessing the news of the King’s most recent avocation has yet to reach your village.”

PANEL FIVE: A few villagers trading goods in the background.

Wayfarer: “...well, from what I had heard, and now can see... “

PANEL SIX: They pass a luscious garden with apple trees, and oaks.

Wayfarer: “...this province seems closest to god’s original design...“

PANEL SEVEN: They cross a bridge over a moat, closing in on the king’s castle.

Emissary: “...and especially not a King shooting...”

PANEL FIVE: They near the castle’s interior towers, while the Wayfarer looks at the Emissary and interjects.

Wayfarer: “It is not unknown that the Queen is as fruitless as the fields outside my convent!”

PANEL SIX: The Emissary appears jovial as he scoffs at the Wayfarer. The Wayfarer looks agitated. They near a line of indistinguishable people. The line has a few gaps in it.

Wayfarer: “I know of a remedy to ensure the King’s progeny.”

Emissary: “How Wonderful! You have leverage over his empty coffers. Ha!”

PANEL SEVEN: The Emissary is pierced by an arrow and his shoulder is thrown backward. His plumage swings the opposite way of his body’s backward motion.

PANEL SEVEN: There is a line of servants at least half of whom have been killed by the king. Further behind them is the body of the Emissary, and the Wayfarer. A killing arrow hits the Wayfarer in the middle of her back. The Wayfarer has one arrow sticking out of her back, and one out of her leg.

King: “Now I know just as much as you do, dear pilgrim!”

SOUND EFFECT:

(THUMP!)

PANEL EIGHT: ZOOM OUT to see another servant fall.

SOUND EFFECT:

(THUMP!)

PANEL NINE: ZOOM OUT even further to see the line of bodies that were shot before the Wayfarer’s arrival. The surrounding area is seen to have guards around the perimeter. Another servant falls.

The hoof clearly visible. The King’s long hair is wet, clearly due to a tussle with a sea dragon, and his bow is to his side. Sea-dragon remains stretch along the ground beside the table.
