Vocabulary: Children will use story illustrations to understand story vocabulary:tug, reflection, vine, jungle, elephant, hippopotamus, clever.

Reading Comprehension: Children will listen for a purpose and answer questions about a story.

Phonics: Children will identify and distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters Rr, Ss, and Tt.  Children will identify letter sounds /r/, /s/, and /t/.

Writing: Children will practice writing uppercase and lowercase letters Rr, Ss, and Tt.

Vocabulary: Children will identify color word: orange.

- Observe if children distinguish between letters Rr, Ss, and Tt and their sound.

- Observe if children are able to identify color word “orange.”
