Worm Club

Worm Club is a special program run by senior volunteers in our community as well as teacher and volunteers. Students have an opportunity to practice reading skills with a caring adult. The club begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 8:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Children who wish to receive breakfast should enter the cafeteria by 7:15 a.m. Students who are invited to join the club will receive a letter towards the end of September with more details. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to volunteer for this amazing club, please contact Mr. Sakellaris, 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Chinn, Language Arts Specialist, or Mr. Hodge, principal.

Congratulations, Worm  Club Members! You have been selected to join Irving’s morning reading club. Grab a delicious muffin, fruit juice, and a petite bowl of cereal in the mini gym by 7:15. Next, wind your way through the hallway, up a flight of stairs, to the library. Grab your nametag and choose a fabulous book from your reading level. The volunteers will be waiting to read with you!

A Humongous thanks to these special volunteers for dedicating their early mornings to Irving’s youngsters!
