I’ll take the _____ and the points.

For several years, I read every TMQ column.  I read every word of every TMQ column.  And that is a lot of words.  Gregg Easterbrook loves to talk about football and strategy and the NFL and high school football and college football and small college football and big colleges scheduling cream puffs in the opening weeks and coaches being scared to go for it on 4th down and astronomy and Battlestar Galactica and politics and politicians spending money on stupid things and the statistical analysis behind punting and the actual location of teams vs. the location they use to refer to themselves and bad sportsmanship and good sportsmanship and high school football and other high school sports and head coaches and celebrities and...well you get the idea.

I liked his running jokes.  In fact, I LOVE all running jokes, because I think they make the world a better place.  Friends make life happier and part of that is referring to a running joke that has been going on for years that still makes everyone laugh (see: Roycie).  I like the Baltimore Nevermores and the Jersey/A Giants and the Jersey/B Jets.  I loved Appalacian State’s upset of Michigan.  I even liked how he explained when something had become so popular that he changed his personal shortcuts because he types so many damn words that man needs shortcuts.

My point is, if I used shortcuts, I would change my shortcut to be “I’ll take ________ and the points.” because I feel like I will be using that a lot this season.
