 The children will observe, record, and communicate today’s weather. 

 The children will identify the different types of weather.

  1.  Review weather vocabulary words.
  2. Talk about the different kinds of weather. (sunny, cloudy, windy, foggy, rainy, and snowy.
  3. Lead the children to talk about relative temperatures, such as cold hot, and warm.
  4. Have the children choose appropriate weather symbols.
  5. The teacher will talk about how can weather change.
  6. Distribute a five-day calendar.
  7. discuss today’s with the children and point out the box that stands for today.
  8. Have a volunteer communicate the class’s idea about today’s weather by pacing a weather symbol in the Monday’s box. Then have the rest of the children record this information on their activity sheet.
  9. At the end of each wee, ask questions such as: What kinds of different weather we had this week? What kind of weather did we have the most? How did the weather change?
  1. Can you identify today’s weather?
  2. Can you look up the symbol that represents today’s weather?
  3. Can you predict what kind of weather are we going to have tomorrow?

  1.  Lead the children in discussion about what people dress for the weather.
  2. The teacher will elicit that light clothe help people stay cool, heavy clothe help people stay warm, and rain coats and umbrellas help people stay dry.
  3. Distribute paper dolls and clothing, then  have the children dress them according to the given types of weather.
