Homework for Term 2, Week 3
Maths - Basic Facts
Go to Math Magician on the school website. You will find it on the website links page under ‘Maths’. Spend 30 minutes this week on the site daily working on an area that you need to improve in.
Choose a level and an operation that challenges you, rather than one that you can do easily. Getting better is all about pushing yourself to do things that are a little harder than you are comfortable with.
Reading
Read for 20 minutes each day, from Monday to Thursday (you can read for more, and read in the weekends too!)
Writing
Leave a comment on the class blog. Make your comment at least 50 words. ( If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use on of the class computers before school). Your comment needs to be about all of the things that are mentioned on the class blog.
Last week it was great to see a number of 50 word comments. However, some of you are still leaving very brief comments of only a few words. This week we would like to see you all achieve the 50 word target.
French
Visit the class blog and go to our ‘Let’s Learn French’ blog. Watch the weekly post that is put up and leave a comment (if you haven’t already done so). If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use on of the class computers before school.
This week the post is on countries; where do you come from?
Te Reo Maori
Visit the class blog and go to our ‘Let’s Learn Te Reo Maori’ blog. Check out the new weekly post that is put up and leave a comment. You can also go through the previous posts to revise on older lessons. ( If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use on of the class computers before school).
This week the post is on answering the question ‘How are you?’
Spelling
Learn your weekly list of words. Spend time each night going over them so that you are ready to be tested on Friday.
