The children will learn taste some of their favorite Spanish foo, and learn about a who is “Juan Bobo.” 

Who was Juan Bobo? 

  1. The teacher will talk about who was Christopher Columbus and his accomplishments.
  2. The teacher will have the children enjoy some of their favorite Dominican food.
  3. Have the children answer the following questions: How the food taste? Do you like the food? Why? Do you know where that food id originally from? Have you ever had that food a t home?
  4. Read aloud  the Puerto Rican story “Juan Bobo Goes to Work.”
  5. Review with the children the story.
  6. Have the children answer: Who was the main character?  Did he have a good heart? What did he do wrong? How would you have done it?
